Tips For Fast Easy Weight Loss For Teens

“Teenagers have it easy, they don’t have a care in the world.” If you’re a teenager, you’ve probably heard that one so many times. But it’s not true! Especially because of high school and all the popular kids are in shape and very good looking and you feel like you have to be just like them to be as popular or as cool. One thing I want to say before I continue, when you’re a teenager, your bodies are still developing. There is such thing as baby fat and many times, you will grow out of it. So you may not need to do any kind of stomach exercises. Your body could still be maturing and taking its shape. So before you go doing something extreme to lose weight, check out these tips for fast easy weight loss for teens.

Here I have 5 tips for fast easy weight loss for teens. Some of these you may have heard before and here’s the reason why, it’s because they work!

. Walk the Mall: Go together with a buddy or a friend so you guys can work out together. If you’re “overweight” then the exposure at the mall will help boost your self esteem being in public with huge crowds. Second, walking is one of the most effective forms of exercise for weight loss! So at the mall, try to stay on your feet and not sit on the benches or at the food court, instead try to check out every store in the mall.

2. Watch the Fast Food: To be honest, this may be the hardest part because fast foods such as McDonald’s or Burger King tend to be more accessible and inexpensive. A suggestion is to lay off the fries and burgers and stick with chicken sandwiches or fish sandwiches as chicken and fish have more protein in them which is essential to losing weight. So if you are to eat fast food, try to just order the sandwich and a bottle of water.

. School Activities: Don’t have the money to join the gym? Your school should have one so take advantage of that! If you don’t want to be another muscle head, try joining an athletics team or a club that involves athletics. Me personally, I love running but when I was in high school, there wasn’t a track team or club for running so what I did was I ran laps around the school’s indoor basketball court while the basketball team was training. Work with what you’ve got!

4. Exercise at Home: There are so many exercises you can do at home! I’m a guy, so personally I don’t need much to work out but it doesn’t matter what you do, the point is to get moving and get that heart rate up (that’s what helps you burn fat)! Walking around the neighborhood is another way to get some good exercise. If you have a dog, take them with you. And if your dog is energetic, you may get some running in! You should exercise at least times a week.

5. Limit the Sweets: The most cliché tip of them all! But it is true, candy and soda is fattening, why? Because of the sugar content. When sugar is not burned off, it turns into fat! So when you’re craving sugar or soda, think of the alternatives. I personally prefer grapes and a bottle of water.
